I just reinstalled updated my drivers etc and installed rainbow six lockdown the new game and even on low settings i hear the computer beeping at me and eventually it turns itself off after several beeps.when it reboots i get no error message and the ati software said the temp is 83c and its not overclocked.I have had problems with the ati drivers since i got this card(msi version) the disk it shipped with had drivers that gave me problems and the new drivers havent helped either oh and i did a long format when i reinstalled.what do i do next to fix this problem?

83c is too hot, make sure you have decent airflow in your case and if that isn't the problem get one of these VF700-CU...that's a cooler for your card, i use it myself and i have the same card as you. It cools much better then the standard solution

sounds like a heat buildup issue, try running the PC with the side off it & see of that helps... what sort of case fans are you using in your machine ??

I'd suggest using ATiTool to log the temps to file - then you can see in the txt file where the last temp was before the PC switches off - that can give us more to work with.

What PSU you have?

thought all my info was in my sig anyways i have an athlon 64 3500 130 nm verison.I have a thermaltake xaser 3000 case and the door is always off it runs alot cooler that way I ve never had problems like this before only driver issues while installing the drivers for the vid card let me try ati tool and ill post back.

I shoud have checked the card earlier but i found out the fan quit working on me and it was oer heating. thanks for the help
