If an X850 XT seems underpowered to you running Half Life 1, then my friend, you have some SERIOUS PROBLEMS with your computer that probably have nothing to do with your videocard...

Even my four year old 9700 PRO on an XP 3200+ an play HL1 at max res and eye candy with superhigh framerates.

Hey Flyguy,

BFG is supposed to actually transfer to a third owner - i.e. 1st owner, 2nd buyer and then third 3rd buyer - all covered by original warranty. Whether in reality you actually would get coverage is another matter, I'm just going on what they describe in their packaging support these days! So, who wants to buy my AGP BFG 6800GS OC off me?! Yeah, I didn't think so....if I had the money now I'd def build a PCI-E system around that sub-$200 X850XT!

Really? The last thing I read about on their site back in December said they didn't. I was looking at a BFG card on eBay at the time. Maybe they changed!

Purchased mine first week of Feb and that's what their documentation states for the GS (of course, I in now way recommend trying this as I never trust the goal posts won't be moved at another time!).

I have to agree, I had no problems playing it with a 9800 Pro.

anyone know what the difference is between the sr and L model numbers is?

Friend just bought one and not sure which one he got.

Sapphire has been known to use different memory modules on the same class of cards. That could also be the difference, but its just speculation.
