Hi I am getting either the i7 4770k or the i7 4930k. Let's not worry about the price of the processors, I want something more objective based om the motherboards and upgrade capability.

I was looking to see if there would be a new x89 chipset for lga 2011 processors, but couldn't find much.

I will be doing some video editing work from time to time as well as photoshop design software and also gaming.

im probably going to upgrade to haswell e at the end of the year and I wanted to get a processor and motherboard that can give me value if I dont upgrade.

So say I get the x79 will the x89 support the 4930k? And will the z97 be better than the x79 for my needs? Will these chipsets support newer processors like the haswell e skylake etc? When I do upgrade, I'll probably sell the processor and/motherboad so I just wanted the best returns in terms of money and value in the time being.

Also ill probably be getting an ssd and probably keep to 1 card for now maybe 2 in the future future.

right now I have an lga775 cheap motherboard with a core2quad so im aching for an upgrade. Would thr i7 4930k be worth the extra money on the motherboard? Or should I stick with i7 4770k and z97 then upgrade the processor? Also, would the 2011 chipset support the newer processors or no? When will the x89 be released? (If it is 2011)

So,
My enthusiasts gaming platform right now is based on a X58 chipset, which has treated me very well.
In my opinion I do believe, might be wrong but is more reliant on the CPU to take advantage for your x58 chipset or 1366 socket only.

I dont think PCI-E 3.0 is offered with a x58 chipset but please correct me if im wrong, i would probably want one..
But I am also looking into a x99 build but they are costly at the moment, Because of the new socket 2011-v3 and DDR4 Quad-channel capability, DDR4$ is.
But pro is they support SLI up to 3 way (for nvidia i think) but not sure about ATI.

If your looking at a CPU for this chipset i would consider older Xeon chips, CPU that are Intel 5660X which work beautifully for overclocking with a 12 core chip at around $200. My overclocking on my Asus platform (P6T Deluxe v2 motherboard) Im able to beat an i7-940 Extereme which in my opinion your better off over clocking

But what pros will i get from moving to an x99? A better system or just for the $ bragging rights?
