Question x870e board question..

i just got a 7800x3d for a friend and he wants to run it in a x870e taichi lite since it has 5g network card on it for his fiber internet he has.. anyways my main concern is, will it be stable with a 7800x3d in it and 6000 gskill z5 neo ram? i was just curious if the 7000 series will run ok.. thanks

The mobo/CPU/memory combo should be just fine.

I am skeptical of how well the 5G LAN will perform. I assume this system will be connected to a 1G network. If so, it will operate at 1G speeds. That is more than enough for the vast majority of users.

why skeptical of the 5g lan??? he has 5gig fiber to the home.. even if he had 2gig fiber it should be ok, let alone even 1gig lol..

Skeptical that it will actually operate at that speed. All the ports/devices between the router and the PC must also support 5G, else it works at the least common denominator.

That is what I was referring to.

Nope. A matter of what the network devices, ports, and cables support.

Regardless, the system as described should perform well.

1gb is the long established typical home LAN standard, and rarely is their an issue.

We've seen a LOT of problems with boards and their 2.5Gb ports+drivers.

So it is not unusual to look at a brand new 5gb board with a skeptical eye.

"a lot" = more than gigabit.

Yes. It should be backward compatible.
