x99 and Broadwell-E

So I'm going to be building a system with the Asus X99-A II and an Intel Core i7-6800K which is Broadwell-E.

I'm aware that "Some Intel X99 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Broadwell-E CPUs." Will I be able to perform the BIOS update with the i7-6800K installed? Or will I need to have a Haswell-E CPU such as the i7-5820K just to do the BIOS update?

You will need another CPU. I'm pretty sure the X99-A II is fully compatible with the 6800k though.

if the asus mb is below rev some of them have usb flashback ports. with just standby power and no ram or cpu you can flash the bios with a usb stick.

how about the msi godlike gaming carbon, and if so, how do i upgrade it?

have to send it into msi or ask them to send you a bios chip and if your can be pulled and swapped.

That's really good to know. I'm getting a i7 6900k 8 core CPU and the ASUS STRIX X99 Gaming LGA-1151-3 motherboard and I want to update the bios via USB but I'm not sure exactly how that's done. I'm having a hard time getting useful information on other forums.
