i am planning to upgrade to the x99 platform, can i buy two 8 gb dual kits (2 modules*4 gb+2*4=16 gb) or should i buy one 16 gb quad channel kit (4 modules*4 gb=16gb) or should i buy four 4gb single channel memories(4 modules * 4gb=16gb)? (all the memories will be placed in the right memory slots, just to keep that in mind)

Solution
The Dark Rock Pro has around 45mm RAM clearance. The Hyper X modules are around 55mm high. That could be a problem. You can push the front fan up, but not sure whether it will fit. Corsair has some low profile modules that goes well with the heavy coolers. Try to get one of their LPX series as they are low profile and should fit.
one more thing, i already ordered the asus x99 sabertooth . i currently have a dark rock pro 3 will these memories (Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4-2400MHz CL12 (HX424C12PB2K4/16)) will be compatible with the cooler or i have to remove the front fan ?
