So I bought a Xbox 360 Slim back around 2010. The problem however is while I was gaming, it managed to tip over. I then discovered that it "burned" my disk and I couldn't fix it with any of my known home remedies. I manage to go to gamestop and fix it until i bought a new game now (2015) and it burned that even though this time it was tipped over. It did the same exact thing so can anyone help me fix this issue? or am I gonna have to pay the repair fees (im not being stingy I just dont want to pay an absurd amount of money for something like this please help me if you know how i can possibly fix this manually so it doesnt happen again.

The laser didn't burn anything. The reading laser in a 360 is no where near powerful enough to actually burn a disc. You scratched it. The laser sits very close to the disc and any bumping or tipping it over, The laser eye is suspended in a spring like way, so it kind of floats and moving it around can force it into the disc and scratch it.

Bottom line, you system, either from moving it around while playing, or a laser that has been possibly damaged from being moved before and now isn't in the right spot, is scratching your discs, not burning them.
