So i want to plug off my xbox 360 from my TV because of low resolution etc,and want to plug it into my monitor so i am wondering what cabels would i need for the picture, sound etc
Okay,i just looked at the back of my monitor and i saw 3 outputs vga,dvi-d,ac and on xbox hdmi and composite i know about VGA cabel i saw the video on youtube but i dont understand it,would i have sound by just connecting xbox 360 with vga? btw sorry for my bad English
I completely forgot but you can get a HDMI to DVI cable. (Doh) but you will still need some way to work out the audio.
Alright thanks a lot man oh and also i found this ad mini HDMI to VGA cabel with audio cabels would that work i know it sounds stupid i just don't understand this cable stuff
You can try that but it may be fake (Seen fake ones before) HDMI to VGA needs to have an active converter (something with a small processor etc) which increases the cost of a cable quite about (around $50 for a cheap one) as it needs to convert Digital to Analog, for HDMI to VGA. While HDMI to DVI is just digital to digital, no extra nonsense needed.

From picture this looks legit to me but i don't know,so is there a difference in picture quality HDMI TO VGA,HDMI to DVI and btw (i know i am getting annoying) but i heard a lot about xbox 360 damaging flat screen TVs/monitors is there truth to it?
I havent heard anything about XBOX's damaging TV's/monitors. That device looks like it will do the job, AFAIK the xbox does not support 3.5mm audio but maybe that converter has something.
DVI will typically have a better picture quality than VGA.
