Xbox 360 Water Damage controller problem.

Ok so recently my Xbox 360 got water damage. For the first 2 days when I tried to turn it on, 3 red rings would appear. I left it sitting then for a few days and now it works perfectly, no red dots and boots up perfectly and reads discs.

However, my problem is the controller. I have a wireless Xbox 360 original controller that will not sync to the Xbox. The controller did not suffer any water damage. I have tried many methods such as pressing both of the connect buttons of the controller and Xbox, however this did not work.

Any help would be appreciated.

The wireless chip is fried. Shouldn't have turned it on with water in it. You could probably still use it with wired controllers though.

Can you try another wireless controller? Need to work out if there is a problem with the xbox (seems most likely) or a coincidental problem with the controller.

Dosen't work with any other wireless controller. Unfortunately don't have a wired controller to test.

Does sound like the wireless section has died

You can either return it if you still have warranty, buy a wired controller or buy a new xbox.
