Question Xbox 360e storage

If this isent the right place please point me in the right direction.

I have a 360e and a internal hdd enclosure. I was wondering if I could buy any 2.5 hdd to put into the enclosure and use it as internal storage for games, as you would with the official xbox 360e hdd. It isent a hacked or modded xbox. I've googled and only found forums from years ago, things might of changed. Thank you

I'm aware vanilla 360e only supports upto 500gb hdd
