Xbox controller wireless adapter to pc via usb hack?

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if I could simply cut, strip, and resolder the wiring of a wireless xbox adapter(plugs into xbox) with the wiring of a usb cable to play games via usb wireless?

Very old xbox controller I'm assuming. It's a 3rd party madcatz brand wireless controller.
