Xbox dvd drives?

There are samsung, phillips and thomson?
Now i'm buying mod xbox, but the guy has only with thomson drive?
Is that drive ok, or i should runaway from it?🙂

I'd pass on that. Though it'd be cool to have a modded Xbox just to
unlock progressive scan on the DVD player, with a Thomson drive, it'd
probably kill that in a few uses. Go with a Philips or, better yet,
Samsung if you're going to do it...

Run away as fast as you can. There are too many reports of bad Thomson's to
even consider it.

You guys are exaggerating. I've had a Thomson since the xbox came out.
Never have I had a dirty disc error. The only negative thing I can see
is that it can't play CD-Rs but with a 120GB hard drive in the box and
an additional 240 on my computer, don't really need (or want) to burn
CDs, too much hassle
