I recently purchased BF4 for the PC and I am trying to use my xbox one controller with it. Does anyone else use their Xbox one controller to play? The controller drivers just got released and works for all of my other games like Assassins creed IV and Dishonored. I don't know how to get it to work. Also you can only play these games with the cable hooked up, with my charge and play cable this constantly charges my Xbox one controller. Is this bad for the battery?

More than likely its just that BF4 doesnt have support for the Xbone controller, you might need to use a middle-man software so that it appears as an X360 controller.

As for using it wireless, you would need whatever interface its using on your PC (For the PlayStation I know it uses BlueTooth, so cheapo USB dongles work, dont know what it is on the Xbox side).
Though I dont think that having it plugged in will kill your battery life though. On something like a laptop it does but I feel that with a significantly lower power device like a game controller this effect isnt too pronounced.

I personally use the Xbox One controller with KontrolFreek FPS Freek Vortex thumb attachments to play all my PC games and average 1.7-2.0 K/D in all FPS despite the handicap of no auto aim. I personally haven't tried the Xbox One controller with AC. I believe you have to buy the wireless adapter for PC for the wireless to work, but then again I never tried it. I know it only works with the cable connected, which is annoying. Why not just take the battery out and play with the cable connected, since you're concerned about the battery?
