Xbox One Controller Windows 8.1

I've been trying to get an xbox one controller to work on my PC, when i plug the controller in nothing happens, i've tried installing the drivers which it fails to do for some reason and ive ensured my windows is fully updated, any ideas?

I'm going to start with the simplest solution first. Press the xbox logo at the top of the controller.
Then launch your game.

It should work with any game which also supports the xbox 360 controller
