Xbox One Controller

Hello there everyone, I just bought an xbox one controller for my PC to play Black Ops 3 and GTAV, but when I get home, as soon as I plug the controller in, my pc doesn't recognize it. It says device descriptor request failed. Any help would be great, don't want to waste $75

Try a different USB cable and port. If the controller still doesn't work then you should return it as defective.

And why did you spend $75? The controller only costs $59.99 directly from microsoft, and most sellers have it for ~50 or less. It's quite possible you've been had by whatever sold you that controller!

It was $75 because it came with a whole charging kit thing. But I actually took it back to gamestop and they swapped it with the new one. It was a faulty controller.
