I've been PC gaming for many years now. Never have I had a peripheral lag my computer up.
I've been using a DS4 for my Rocket League gameplay for a couple years on the PC. However, I made me a mini computer build to have in my bedroom to game on, and decided I wanted to get a native controller.
Long story short, I bought a new Xbox One S controller (with Bluetooth capabilities) and a wireless adapter just because.
So, I have tried this controller on 3 PC's all running the latest build of Windows 10 64-bit OS. I have tried multiple games, but Rocket League is where you'll notice it the most.
The 3 computers are as follows: i7 6700k w/gtx 980 Ryzen 1700 w/gtx 960 Ryzen 2200g w/gtx 950
All of them have SSD's.
The two computers that are effected by the massive screen tearing/fps drops/general trash performance are the Ryzen 2200g/ ryzen 1700.
It doesn't matter if the controller is connected via the bluetooth module on my mini build (ryzen 2200g), the adapter, or the wire, the performance will usually go to shit within 5 minutes.
The framerate will say that it's high, 100+ at all times but it'll play like it's 20 FPS.
As soon as I disconnect the controller, how ever it's connected, it runs perfect.
Also the DS4 works great. But I got the XBS controller to play native games, so I didn't have to use DS4Windows, and I could play a lot of older games from bed like Dark Souls Etc without having to mess with anything.
Regardless, I'm about to send the controller and adapter back but was posting here to possibly get some help from the community first.
I have googled this for hours, yesterday and now today, so this is my last resort. I really want this controller to work but I'm about done with it.
If you google it, you can see that lots of other people have issues with it.
