Question Xbox storage ?

I have an Xbox 360 E and an internal HDD enclosure. I was wondering if I could buy any 2.5" HDD to put in to the enclosure and use it as internal storage for games, just as you would with the official Xbox 360 E HDD.
It is not a hacked or modded Xbox. I've googled and only found forums from years ago, so things might have changed since then.

I'm aware that the vanilla 360 E only supports HDDs up to 500GB.

Thank you for the link. After asking the creator of the video It's apparent I can't do this with a retail xbox 360e. I think it'll be easier to just buy a second hand official 360 hard drive from cex. Thank you

Unmodded Xbox 360 can only use these specific hard drives, and you have to flash an Xbox-specific firmware to them. Then you can clone the original Xbox partition to it and the backup partition 2. Partition 3 is the big Fat32 one for game files.

But used 360 drives are dirt cheap because of all the dead consoles out there. You can take apart the fat 360 drives to fit them internally into slim/E models
