[SOLVED] Xbox Wireless Adapter for PC Removed

My wireless Xbox 360 controller (for windows) stopped working and while troubleshooting I "removed device" of the wireless adapter in device manager. Now I'm really screwed because I can't do any other kind of troubleshooting (update driver, wake pc, roll back driver, etc.) as it no longer appears in device manager, even after reboot. Help!

you should try removing the adapter, rebooting, then reinstalling the adapter in a different usb port (in that order specifically). after, search for windows updates and see if you have a new one for the adapter.
