XCOM Returns to PC, Consoles as FPS in 2012

Why did I buy a GTX580 if these console games continue being released on PC's?

Have they forgotten about "UFO: Extraterrestrials" from Chaos Concepts/Tri Synergy for the PC in 2007? That game was closer to the original X-Com game than this FPS they are announcing.

I haven't found a game yet that my 5850 can't handle (40fps min) on max settings on a single 1920 x 1080 display. I don't know what the GTX580 or similar are for either, unless you happen to have a 3 monitor setup or something. This XCOM travesty certainly won't push the boundaries give it's console roots.
