Are you sure? I saw a guy on yt,updated the bios and q6600 ran beautifuly.
I'm just going by what the people who made it say it supports. Besides, a Q6600 is very different to an X5450. One is an older 65nm chip designed for use in that socket, and the other is a newer 45nm design that isn't even for the socket. Now if you'd said someone got a Q9650 to run, that would be a bit more encouraging. The Xeon still will require a microcode update which isn't always easy on intel boards, and it could be that your board simply doesn't support the 1333MHz FSB the 45nm quads require.
In short, I don't know ow for certain, but all the evidence points towards it not working. It might end up working, but I sure as heck wouldn't put any money on it.
