Which processor would you go for, from the below, if they were both offered for the same price. As I understood, Xeon E stands for Economic while X stands for performance! I, however, just look at the specs and don't really care about the letter assigned because for me it is just a matter of power consumption. Anyways, While the first has higher clock speed, the second has higher FSB.
Xeon E5460:
Clock Speed: 3.16 GHz
FSB: 1333 MHz
Cache: L2 12 MB
Xeon X5472:
Clock Speed: 3.00 GHz
FSB: 1600 MHz
Cache: L2 12 MB
