i already have one 9600gso i would like another one to run duel cards . is it worth the effort to try and find another one to run duel cards

Only if the price is right and you already have an sli or crossfire board. A second card may get you a 25% performance gain; better to get a faster card, such as the 4850 for around $100-120 and sell the old card on craigslist.
