Question XFX HD 5770- no display signal whatsoever

I recently bought a ATI XFX HD 5770 for $20 for testing purposes and it does not output any signal on the monitor whatsoever, the monitor thinks its on standby. I have used both DVI ports and HDMI on it, no success. However, after i removed it and booted my PC up with the original graphics card, it worked as normal. I started device manager and checked show hidden items, in the display section there was a card "HD 5700 series" Any help would be great .
Mobo: Asus H170-p
CPU: i3-6100 3.7 GHz
RAM: 8 GB DDR4
OS: Windows 10 Home 64 bit
PSU: Silverstone 300w

your psu might not handle the 5770 power draw

I see... Strange how the GTX 1050 Ti works just fine but i think the PSU would be the issue

and did the 300w psu have the 6 pin pcie power cable?

Yup I tried with and without the 6 pin power cable, no luck.
I'm going to try on a PC with a 450w power supply and see if i have any luck
