I have a XFX HD6870 1gb, and im going to buy another one to Crossfire it with another , so will a Sapphire HD6870 1gb work %100 with the XFX , and my PSU is 650 Watts , is that enough ???

Solution
Antec is a trusted PSU brand. Since you have 650W you can crossfire 2x 6870 just ensure the PSU have the required PCI-E power connectivity. Also don't overclock the system to extreme high when you are using 2X 6870 so that it won't put too much load to the PSU.
Brand of GPU does not matter but chipset is what should match for dual GPU functionality. In your case you can crossfire XFX 6870 with Sapphire HD 6870. What brand and model is that 650W PSU you have ??

Its Antec , but not sure which model

ah , i have a q6600 in that pc , overclocked to 3.5ghz and will overclocking the 2 cards to 970/1150 be ok? or should i just leave the cards at stock speeds?

i really dont want to put my cpu back to stock as i get a big fps boost at 3.5ghz

EDIT: also i have a adapter that has 4 pin molex to pci-e power connector , could i use that for the second card as my PSU only has 2 pci-e cables??

Only 2 PCI-E power cables ?? I feel it's a bit risky to use a molex to power GPUs since you also loves overclocking it would be too much for the molex to deliver. If you can't buy a new PSU, what you can do is power each one of the 6870 with One of the PCI-E power connector from the PSU, remaining can be powered by the molex to PCI-E adapter. It will work.

650W is fine for your configuration with some overclocking as well. Have a look at the Crossfire power requirements of HD 6870 at http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/radeon-hd-6850-6870-crossfirex-review,4.html. There the reviewer used an overclocked Core i7 965 @ 3750 MHz which was a high end CPU at that time.

The other option is buying a brand new GPU like Radeon R9 285 which offers more performance than CF 6870 and consumes much less power, no driver dependency for crossfire support and no complications of PCI-E power connectors issues. You can sell your current 6870.

yeh but i dont want to pair that with a Q6600 , this rig isnt my main rig
