[SOLVED] xfx rx 470 8gb 6pin or 8 pin connector needed?

I would like to ask if the xfx rx 470 8gb version needs an 6pin or an 8pin pcie power connector
I appreciate every kind of help

It's an unfortunate situation you're in if you have such a small budget. Look, you can go and buy a graphics card and it may work. All people here are saying that with such a poor quality power supply like you have, and that's the fault of the manufacturer not you, they misled you totally with their 400w claim, is that this cannot be guaranteed to work or work in the long term should you install a higher powered card. Only 264 of those claimed watts can be used for the graphics card. So with that in mind and the fact that we don't advise people to disappoint them, we advise them with their budget and best interests in mind, nobody here can really tell you that what you want to do will 100% work.

Maybe, but only maybe. And would it work safely? No. Fact is, if you want a better graphics card, your money would be better spent first getting a new and good quality power supply, and then saving up for a little more time and then getting your graphics card.

It would suck to buy a graphics card and for your current power supply to fail and take your new graphics card with it right?

Were you to be able to up your budget by 50 Euro, it would be far easier to suggest something that would work and likely stay working. But I realise 50 Euro is a lot when you only have 100 to start off with.
