I cannot find any other posts for this GPU specifically, I know coil whine isn't really super rare but when I open furmark or black ops 3 or any fairly demanding game that needs 100% GPU usage, I get an electrical buzz kinda sound out from the card, tried turning fans off didn't help, tried removing and adding overclock didn't change a thing, so what I wanna know is, is the card fine to run with the buzz sound? It performs perfect and stay around 70 degrees under full load on 4k test, the sound is more or less inaudible when playing games and the fans are ramped up a bit, the sound DOES NOT bother me whatsoever as longs as it is safe for the card? Only a few weeks old,Vsync didn't really do anything at all either.

If its coil whine & the sound doesn't bother you then no it's not really an issue.

You turned the fans off ??
I'm nor sure you can completely without stopping them manually with your finger.

I've seen issues where the fans move in transit (they are removeable on that model??) & rub on the shroud a tiny bit.

Pop them off & back on again just to make sure.

Coil whine is affected by PSU as much as the GPU , I've got a 970 that has godawful whine running on a corsair , & has absolutely none when running on an evga unit.

You can stop the fans on this model, they stop themselves when you're idling or not working on anything, I have 2 server fans that run at 5000 rpm and they're awesome for keeping cool just absolute loud as crap I hear them downstairs which is a pain, I have 5 case fans to keep temps as low as I can (2 front, 2 side blows onto gpu and 1 at the back extracting) space for another right above gpu, the second I get the main menu screen on black ops 3 it gets a slight buzzing, I only noticed it yesterday night and this morning, it is gonna be a hassle to send back so as long as the card is not gonna break or anything do you reckon it'll be fine? The witcher 3 does it but only at the main menu where I have like 1800fps but in game it doesn't do it as far as I can hear.

Mine is a very VERY mild version of this no way near as annoying lol

It does not sound like this though at all?

I don't get high pitch sounds, just an electricity sound almost a light buzz/hum

It is still known as coil whine mate , I'd call it coil buzzing but there you go.
& that's a similar noise to my Asus 970/- as I said in a corsair PSU its noisy (still bearable though), on a evga b2 its pretty much silent

Will be absolutely fine mate on a longetivity level , it is just a form of electrical interference not actually a hardware quality issue.

Out of interest what PSU model do you have??

You'll prolly say its the power supply but I've already ruled it out, corsair CX600
