[SOLVED] XFX RX 590 FATBOY OC+ reboots when I start a game.

I got a new Rx590 fatboy and ever since then I've been unable to play any games such Modern Warfare or Halo. The PC just reboots once I load into a match without me pressing anything. I thought it might be the psu so I replaced it with a CX750M and still have the same issue.
Everything thing is stock, and temperature doesn't seem to be an issue, it's restarted at very low temps. I've done a fresh install of W10 including drivers and even an updated bios flash just in case, but it still has the issue. I checked the voltage for the lines and they seemed fine. I'm kinda running out of ideas on what to do here.

System specs:
Cpu: Ryzen 7 2700
Gpu: XFX RX590 Fatboy OC+
Mobo: MSI X470 Gaming Plus
Psu: Corsair CX750M bronze
RAM: Corsair 16Gb (8×2) RAM

EDIT: Just a recap...
-Windows has already been reinstalled
-DDU used, running latest drivers
-current memory is a kit
-cpu and gpu temps are fine
-psu already replaced, no change

1)Is everything being run off a single drive? If not, check the health of your drives with this: https://crystalmark.info/redirect.php?product=CrystalDiskInfoInstaller

2)Scan your PC with Adwcleaner, as it can find things that tend to get past antivirus programs: https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/
Reinstalling windows only wipes the C drive, so if anything is on the other drive(s), it will get overlooked from the reinstall.

3)Check the integrity of the game files through Steam - if you're using a...
That's the gpu core though?
The other parts, such as VRM and memory, usually run warmer.

What's your case?
Aero Cool Cylon. It has one fan stock, but I added 3 more. Ran Heaven Benchmark on ultra for 30 minutes with no issues. Max temp was 69C for the GPU diode, 70C for VRAM1, and 68C for VRAM2.

Also, I got Modern Warfare to run by reducing settings to all low at 720p, then mid match change settings to 1080p. This worked, however there was a lot of stuttering, but temps looked normal. As soon as it tried starting another match in 1080p it rebooted again

Motherboard drivers are up to date?

Did you uninstall the old gpu drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller, before installing the RX 590's drivers?
Yep, even tried a fresh install of Windows. I also updated my bios.

I'm thinking it's my psu, but I just returned one yesterday bc I figured it was faulty. There's no way I could get 2 faulty psus in row, right? I would test it on my old 750w Rosewill psu, but it's missing some pcie cables. I might try testing the cables that came with the corsair one with a multimeter to see if I switch them, they have the same key just gotta check the wiring

Ah, please don't mix and match cables from different psus, even if they look alike. You can possibly kiss your connected hardware goodbye if you do that.

Try this instead:
Remove the case's side panel, and aim a fan to blow inside it. Run your games again.
I really want to be sure it's not a temp issue.

It would be one hell of a coincidence.

Ok, I got HWmonitor up while I opened the game this time. It's definitely not temps. The games not even open long enough to hit above 60C on any component.

Case has been open this whole time. Bc I tried connecting 2 separate pcie cords instead of the the single Y cable. Nothing happened.
Is there a way to share images here?

3)Check the integrity of the game files through Steam - if you're using a different launcher, I don't know whether they have that feature or not.
Right-click the game in the library > Properties > Local files tab.

4)Check your memory with Memtest86, maybe one of the sticks has gone bad: https://www.memtest86.com/
It can take a few hours though, so you may wanna sleep on it.

If the above is still no dice, then:
5)Take the cpu out and check the motherboard socket for any bent/broken pins - you might need a magnifying glass to even notice any anomalies.

6)After all that... that just leaves the motherboard itself. But I have no idea how you'd go about testing it.

I'll try all that and come back when I'm done. Is there a possibility the card is defective? It has a pretty loud buzzing noise, but from what I've read it's just coil whine. Idk what's normal though bc this is my first high end card

It does sound like coil whine. It's your choice if you want to replace the card due to that; there are some workarounds though.
-With Wattman, Msi Afterburner or EVGA Precision X, try different power limit settings
-try different fps caps(if available).
-different driver
