XFX TS 550W enough for r9 390

Okay guys this is my build and I was wondering if my psu would handle the r9 390
Build:
i5 4590
H97 Anniversary LGA1150
XFX TS 550w Bronze 80+
G.skill 8gb 1600mhz ram
1TB WD CB 7200rpm

I'd say, the PSU is just enough for your system, but if you plan to upgrade/OC your machine go with a 600W PSU.

A run-of-the-mill 390 system will use about 380W on full load without OC.

Seeing as the unit you have can reliably output up to 540W of power on the 12V+ rail you should have no problems running this card.

OP would still have room for overclocking the GPU, 650W is only needed when you're overclocking both the CPU and GPU at the same time.

I only plan to oc my cpu just a little bit and also not the gpu. So is the XFX TS 550w good enough?:x

I don't know the absolute best out there, But cooling wise the 390 MSI Gaming seems like the best choice,

Go with HIS or XFX if you just want a good, cheap, and decent overclocking card.

How about the VisionTek Radeon R9 390? I saw it on Amazon for $432 Canadian,with gst and all that. Dunno about this card because I havent seen any reviews on it yet.

Visiontek cards are pretty decent fr the money, Should overclock decently (I would expect 1120MHZ on it average) but it's definitely not the best out there.

If you have an intel CPU then yes a 550w power supply will do. Today I just bought the NZXT Hale 550w PSU, because I ran through all the power wattage calculators there are and found my build will only cap at about 454w. I'm using an i5 4690k so you should be more then fine with it. If you want to be super incredibly safe, get a 600w+, but you will be more then fine with a 550w. Just don't try to crossfire or your system will explode! Haha.
