Hi everyone So i bought this XG270HU 2k 144hz 1440p G-sync/free-sync screen with my PLEASE READ ALL
i7 8700k OC = 4.7 ghz
1070 ti OC 2000 MHZ
16 gb of ddr4 ram

Issue is i didn't really do my research and didn't realize that in some games mainly fps's competitive styled i hit like 60-70 fps and if your a fps player like me BOY CAN I FEEL IT so anyways i figured okay cant handle 2k 1440p this screen should be able to 1080p 144hz RIGHT? nope incorrect Im stuck at 120 HZ
now just to let you know i have G-sync enabled and V-sync enabled for proper stutter/screen tear optimization Works perfectly fine for me i don't notice any input delay and that cant be the problem because a friend of mine has the exact same build with a 1080p 144hz screen with no issues
So on with the story sorry for it being so long so like i said i figured okay i cant handle 1440p so lets go to 1080p 144hz Desktop keeps it if i place it but ingame im stuck at 120 HZ no matter the game ive tested all the 3D gpu settings such as capping the fps using riva-tuner nothing works even setting the res/hz on win 10, ive tried literally everything and the only thing i see is V-sync capping me 120 if i turn it off stutter city!
So at 1440p i hit 144hz NP on the exact same screen/page only under intense situations do i drop and that's when i really need the fps so i figured 1080p but i'm stuck...
Ive even tried the in-game launcher settings not a single difference somethings capping it and it seems to be v-sync but like i said a friend of mine exact build works perfectly fine? makes zero sense so is it just my screen doesnt like 1920x1080p 144hz on a 2k 1440p 144hz native resolution?!?!

Solution
So Guess what, Figured out the issue something is capping the screen itself!
anyone wanting to buy s XG270HU 2k 144hz 1440p G-sync/free-sync screen
BEWARE THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT LIKE going to 1080p 144hz.
However i do reccoment the Asus 27 inch g-sync screen 100%
