Okay so I am building a computer for xmas. My limit is 600.00 not including tax. but has to include shipping. I live in ottawa ontario canada. My main focus for this system is mainly media storage. and Microsoft Flight Simulator X which runs a lot of backup programs, for weather and maps,Vatsim online network, I also do a bit or guitar recording.
I curently have a 1 tb hardrive and a dvd rom. So these are the parts I picked from pcpartpicker. Date of purchase is week before xmas when everything is suppose to be cheaper that is why the 643.00 price tag hoping prices will drop if not I am going to go with small ssd drive. Really just want to put operating system and fsx and all addons on that drive.

CPU Intel Core i5-3570 3.4GHz Quad-Core $209.99
Motherboard MSI Z77A-G41 ATX LGA1155 $69.99
Memory Mushkin Silverline 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1333 $55.00
Storage OCZ Vertex Plus 60GB 2.5" SSD $66.99
Video Card MSI GeForce GTX 650 1GB $114.99
Case Logisys CS206BK ATX Mid Tower w/480W Power Supply $29.99
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) $96.99
total 643.00
Thanks in advance for anyone helping its now crunch time. oh and I am pretty firm with the 600 to 640 but has to be 600 at time of buy thanks

I have looked at your choices and find nothing glaringly wrong. Everyone can easily chime in on what, "I," would do. In answer to your specific questions and looking at the advice others have given I would like to make some points.

As far as choice of motherboard, you made one compatible with your processor choice. Bottom line is the price in this decision.

As far as case/power supply combo. It is, in my opinion the weakest choice in your decision matrix; that said, if it works, it works. The case is compatible with your board, bottom line. The power supply is adequate for your load on it, bottom line.

Be happy with your choices. I see no mistake that you made.

pingypoker Iknow that I was just saying that it would be more money. couple things with your build first of all the video card you suggest ask for a 500 watt power supply
from what proximons link in above message states. second I need a video card capable of dvi dvi, or dvi vga. This is because I have a dvi vga right now but also have a connector to make the vga dvi. but I think if I put in the same ram cause I dont need 16gbs (that is what others have said plus I can always upgrade. ) and put in the same video card as in my last build it should be good. And since I am stupid how do you post the pcpartpicker that way. thanks

Thanks insightdriver really appreciate looking it over.
So unless anyone has some (oh that wont work your system wont even power up.) then this is the system and thanks to all even twelve25 (for letting me see how bad I am at picking computer parts)

a bit out of my 600 mark so might have to loose the ssd and get one later. but otherwise this is the system thanks for all your input

oh and just for fun 640 to 600 is only 6 percent and yeah that is asking alot to go down but I have seen some huge sales at xmas time exspecially with the new windows just coming out. We will see.

That is an excellent choice!
