Question XMP causing boot loop?

I have a z690 Aorus Elite Ax i5 13600k and I’m trying to set my xmp to 6000mhz but when I enable it and save and exit the bios it blinks between the cpu and dram leds and doesn’t boot. But when I power my system down and back on it boots up and shows the 6000mhz frequency in task manager. It only does this when I save and exit from bios (not every time either) another thing to note is that it blinks between the two leds when I turn xmp off too sometimes but after powering down and back up etc it shows the frequency I set it at in task manager. I ran memtest86 with and without xmp on and no problems detected. I have the ram in slots 2 and 4 (one furthest from cpu with a space then 2nd stick then a space)
