so i have an msi b450 pro carbon mobo with trident z 3600 memory in it but whenever i go above 3466 the pc wont let me touch the cpu any more than just using msi game boost or it crashes. i want to use it at 3466 but i only have 2 xmp profiles at 3333 and 3600 how do i get a 3466 xmp or do i just need to manually oc the ram (which i already did but want to use xmp for better timings.)

Which Ryzen do you have ? With 1st gen it's difficult to get much over 3200MHz. You can also try to set xmp to 3600 and frequency manually to 3466 and if that works, set XMP to 3333 and RAM higher than that. Also see if you have latest BIOS version. improvements were made lately.
