Hello,
When i choose xmp1 i get a message with a yes or no

The message is:

Would you like to enhance the system performance with the xmp settings?
Selecting no applies intel stock settings
Do not select 'no' if you intent to overclock the cpu

Choosing no still changes the profile to xmp1 though wich is 3200 mhz 16 18 18. So should i choose yes or no since the text makes no sense to me.

Does choosing 'no' only change ram speed without messing with anything else, while pressing 'yes' adjusts cpu speeds as well? I cant understand what the text means, and i dont intend to oc the cpu

IMO, I always recommend you choose no except in a very few situations. Choosing Yes applies the Asus preferred settings and not the Intel boost profile for the CPU. So yes, choosing no changes the memory profile but leaves everything else alone. Since you don't plan to overclock the CPU, and perhaps even if you did so long as you are overclocking manually and not using any of the preset ASUS profiles, choosing no is the right option.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, helpful and straight to the point
