Hi,
I own an Asus Z390-A mainboard and I just purchased an Asus Xonar AE sound card. I notice that the sound card does not have an audio connector, so I've no choice but to leave my front panel audio connector plugged into the motherboard.

Is there any way I will be able to receive headphone audio from my sound card at the front panel connector if the sound card has no onboard audio connector?

Regards,
Brad

The website for that card shows a photo with six jacks on the rear panel, plus an ooptical out socket. The specs say that the six 3.5 mm jacks include one input for either line in or mic in, and five outputs. Of those, one is designated as the Headphone Out jack - presumably stereo left / right. So that's where you can plug in your headset earphones, and the headset mic line (if you have that) goes into the Mic In jack. You are right - there is no special connector on the card for connecting the case's front panel jacks to it. But you just use the sound card's jacks themselves for your headset plugs.
