XP Errors after rebuild

Hey Guys,

Have a really weird situation. I have just reinstalled XP from
recovery software, all ran smoothly, however as soon as I connect to
the net I keep receiving Messanger pop up’s relating to Registry
errors, system unstable etc... All pop ups have suggested web sites to
go to.
What could this be???

It also occured on another PC I recently rebuilt however this was a
Win 2K box but the errors and symptoms are all the same...

ALSO - On the XP LT, I keep receiving a message stating the LapTop
will reboot in 60 sec and to save all the work(Count down begins). The
message relates to a service "RPC" failing... No option to cancel or
End Task, simply have to wait till the dam thing reboots...

I am lost..... Please help...

You probably don't have a firewall. (nor SP2, which turns off the messenger service)
