Xp fresh instal ntldr is missing

Hello,
NTLDR message missing after fresh install of xp. tried copying the two suggested files from boot disk (i386) files. Tried fxboot and fixmbr commands..

Is your HDD ok? It sounds like XP is writing the files to bad sectors, which it cannot access later.
