Xp install

After clean installing xp on my pc, there is no wireless internet icon in the bottom of screen so i cant connect. if i install sp2 make xp auto detect wireless networks? or the mobo cd? i tried my wirless card cd but it didnt work.

my wireless card came with a cd, i tried to install it but windows flashes a warning about compatibility and it dosent work...
