My installation went fine. Zyprd and Phial had problems though.

Yea - so did mine ... and most I've seen on other forums. Some exceptions though.

Now installed on my home machine just fine... two installations for me without a hitch... woohoo!

Btw, if you already have a firewall, disable the new Windows Firewall. It's redundant and can prevent programs from getting all the internet access they need. I disabled the Windows one at home and it says that I'm still protected thanks to Panda's antivirus + firewall.

I've installed XP2 on 17 clients at work. 16 work flawlessly (well, as flawlessly as any MS OS) and 1 became completely fooked so I reinstalled XP.

I downloaded the network install. Why download it 6 times on 6 different computers.

So far I have installed it on 3 of 6 without a problem. Wifes laptop has Mcaffee installed which is on the problem list so I might have problems with it.

I aint signing nothing!!!

Well, i got the prompt through microsoft to download sp2 but never got the prompt to install. I rebooted and had nothing but problems.
I get popups out the wazoo, and alot of pages wont display pictures. I get the red x in the box. And i get those annoying Script Error warnings when opening pages.
I used the msn toolbar popupstopper before this and had no problems with them.
Installed Panicwares popupstopper and its terrible the amount of popups that are being blocked. Its like a machine gun being shot
I did scans for spyware and adware and got rid of them all(hopefully) and still popups are killing me. I never had this problem before.
It says in the control panel that sp2 hotfix is installed but in system prpoperties it still has me as sp1

Even system restore doesnt have a restore point for sp2
Plus i have processes in task manager that i cannot find information about and dont know how
to get rid of if possible.
hnn.exe
ltohwf.exe
lucoms~1.exe
I cant figure it out and im pretty upset at this crap. My machine was running pretty damn good before this.

WinXP, amd 64 3200+, 9800 pro, 1 gig corsair
Security zone set at medium

I manually installed it. I never use the auto update feature.

Try manually installing it now at least. It can't make it any worse. Hopefully.
