I was out shopping around for Christmas gifts the other day and found this kinda of interesting.
I decided while at Sam's Club I would check out the PC section I haven't done this in awhile and thought I would see what is new.

I saw an XPC system sporting an AMD 64 3700+ with a Radeon 9550 256Meg Video card. Very Small and SMART looking unit. The system was complete with a 17" LCD monitor for lees than 1,700.00.

Has any one had any experience with these machines are they reliable etc... ???

I was pretty impressed, But as I said before I really haven't been looking. The last macine I built (6years ago) I still use, very reliable to I might add.
But this seemed like a pretty descent buy to me!

If it ain't broke don't fix it

Hahaha, smart looking systems for dumb people. Seriously, they sell those on looks alone. And $1700 is a lot of money! While the 9550 is an inexpensive video card. If you wanted a good system, you'd build one. If you wanted a good portable system, you'd build a Micro ATX tower with a handle on it. Newegg has a case that's around 70% taller but 30% narrower than the typical SFF cube. Narrower means more room on your desk, and narrower cases are easier to carry. Being Micro ATX, it allows you a wide selection of motherboards compared to SFF and has twice as many expansion slots (4, instead of 2).

Well that is what I was looking for some feed back!
The System I'am currently running is:
A7A266
512 Meg DDR Ram
AMD 2400+ (ugraded time)
Nvidia Geforce2 Ultra 64 meg
120 Meg WD HD Primary
Secondary Maxtor 40 Gig

Rather Old system now after severaal years of use but has been very reliable.
Looking at possible system up grades but need everything from Key Board all the way up.
That is why I was looking at complete system!

You can build a full sized system in a mid-sized case. You can build a mid-sized system in a very small case. It's up to case designers to figure out the details to get everything to fit.

<A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-164-010&depa=0" target="_new">Cheap case without handle</A>
<A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-200-021&depa=0" target="_new">One with several handles</A>
<A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-108-299&depa=0" target="_new">A solid midrange version</A>
<A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-108-300&depa=0" target="_new">A fancier version</A>
<A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-124-108&depa=0" target="_new">Something a little more art-deco</A>
<A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-190-018&depa=0" target="_new">Something with hidden bays</A>

Those are all narrower than SFF and support standard Micro ATX boards.

But if you're really stuck on the looks of cubes:

It wasn't so much the cube that got my attention it was the complete system. I spent around 1,000.00 on the one I currently use. And that was without a monitor or key board.

Taking into account a Flat Screen Monitor and a Descent video card would cost about a grand I would suppose.

But again I really haven't looked into all of this stuff for quite some time Maybe I am wrong, and it wouldn't cost that much.

No, flatscreen monitors are not very expensive an more, and it's an inexpensive video card. You could probably find that card and a similar model monitor online for $350-$450 total.
