hey guys,

should i use a blower or open air gpu for my new xps 8930?

i worry about open air over heating but want the longevity / quite sound/ better performance of 10-15% but at the same time i hear blowers can get more hot and make the PC work harder / hard to clean / break faster

thanks in advance

Which model did you get?
You may need to upgrade the power supply first?
Most oem cases have terrible case cooling, so a blower style would probably be your best options.
open air coolers only work better when you can get the hot air they produce out of the case.

Power supply should be fine bc i've been using the blower gtx 1660 but it was a bit loud

I played the witcher 3 with no problem and i don't think other games will be problematic. just worried about heat

XPS 8930, Mainstream Chassis (460W)
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 Processor Label
M.2 256GB PCIe x4 SSD + 2TB 7200 rpm Hard Drive

I think there's 2 fans inside

This is what their site says:

Keep your cool: An optimized airflow path uses side vents to draw cool air across graphics cards and CPU, while a separate airflow path cools the power supply unit. Rigorous, proprietary testing ensures that all system components are kept cool, even under the most intensive loads.
