XSPC D5 Vario and XSPC Acetal Top for Laing D5 don't fit.

Hello guys!

I am new to water cooling. I got a pump and a top, but they don't seem to fit!

Looks like this:

Aren't they supposed to make contact?
It appears I have the wrong O-ring? I only have the one I got with the pump.
Might there be a compatibility issue?
