Hey guys help can u help me with my xternal. Cannot browse device in My Computer (Can't even see the device there, for that No drive letter is assigned, and it's completely absent.)
Can see "WD My Passport 070A Usb Device" under "Disk Drives" in Device Manager.
Can see the device in Disk Management. Showing up as a 2TB drive. Status is "Not Initialized". Whenever I try to initialize the device by using MBR or GPT, I get a message saying that the device is Write Protected.

At a total loss. The drive is there, but nothing about it is accessible. There are a lot of important photos on this drive.

In Disk Management, does the menu-item "Change Drive Letter & Paths" appear as an option for that drive?

The change drive letter n paths is also disabled sir philip cant change.

Drive might be faulty then, though with external hard drives it's often the bridge chip PCB inside the enclosure which fails, rendering the drive inaccessible by the system.

If that's what's happened, you can try removing the drive from it's enclosure, remove the PCB, then get a third-party enclosure and see if it works in that.
