Can you get to -40c with freon?

I just found a lab freezer that goes to -40C:

300 should be enough. Might be able to get by with less if you designed it with pass-through plugs for PSU and eSATA and put HD and PSU outside the case (gotta do it for USB, Video, Optical Drive and network anyway). And I thought of another reason it would be cool (heh... "cool"): it would never get dusty.

That would be a logical plan.
