What was OMG.com before? According to google it was Object Management Group (OMG). If it were a porn site, it would have gone for a lot more.

Question is, what does Yahoo! want with it? My guess, porn.

It seems like Yahoo is trying to prove they are a force to be reckoned with. I really don't see what they would be doing with www.omg.com. Next thing you know, yahoo will be trying social networking -_-

It'll be used as a celeb news site. Thats what the domain was originally used for, and before the re-design Yahoo.com used to have a "OMG" link for Celeb news on their main portal. Seems fairly obvious where they're going with this one.

couldn't omg.com cause some backlash from the religious community at some point, kinda lame how people get so pc about things that don't really matter lol. man if i would've owned some of those domain names id' be rich, but i heard you have to have a fully functioning business built up behind the domain in order to cash in. otherwise I guess it can just be taken if you aren't really doing anything with it.

I would think Yahoo! is going to use OMG.com for the part of it's site they are using a sub-domain for currently. http://omg.yahoo.com will likely just be OMG.com .

Clearly, I was slightly curious, but now you have told me it is celebrity news and gossip, which will no doubt be liberally dosed with articles about Paris Hilton, which club Linsey Lohan fell out of drunk or which new hairstyle Posh Spice is wearing I think I will give it a berth so wide it will seem like Pluto's eliptical orbit.

In the meantime, i'll go back to www.stfu.com as it has better content...
