Youcam 5 stopped working

Hi, Well My laptop came with Youcam 3 but it stopped working after a few months. So i got youcam 5 but now when i start it, it says "Youcam has stopped working, Windows will try to find a solution". I don't know what to do. PLEASE. SOMEONE I NEED HELP D;

1. Make sure the driver is installed, the driver is the software that makes it work, sometimes these fail for no reason, so go to the laptop's website, go to their driver download area, find your laptop model number and download the webcam software and driver and install it.

2. Make sure there's nothing blocking it, like a firewall an antivirus.

3. System restore was a good solution as soon as you realised the problem was on, but you may still try, as long as system restore has any checkpoints left before the problem started.

4. Uninstall the program from Control Panel. Restart, Install it again, Install driver and it should work.

Ok,
I will try those. However i can't do a system restore as i would lose some work and the only restore point is to when the camera used was Youcam 3. I will reply if the solution has worked or not

Hi, well the trial works but when i run any other Youcam it says "YOUCAM HAS STOPPED WORKING" its really frustrating

I don't understand, what do you mean by trying "any other youcam" ?

By any other youcam i ment how my friend bought it and that didnt work but the trial works.

Well if the trial version works than buy the full version, I think it will work also. One thing is clear for sure that it happened with some software issue not the hardware. Or, you can try any other software which is free to use(e.g. Skype, GoogleTalk). There are tons of free and decent software out there. Anyway do you fancy youcam?

I do not use fancy youcam, However my friend already has a legit copy of Youcam 5 but that doesnt work. Only the trial works.

It's a bit strange. Anyway tell your friend to uninstall the trial version first using ccleaner or revo uninstaller. Than to install the full version.
