Question Your default browser was reset (Windows 10 Pro Fresh Install) ?

Hi Guys,

I have installed Windows 10 Pro (20H2) from fresh using a USB Stick and I get the following notification as soon as Windows has finished installing,

Your default browser was reset.
An app caused a problem with your default browser setting, so it was reset to Microsoft Edge.

I first installed using a USB stick created with MCT and then I download the ISO directly from the Microsoft website and used Rufus to create a bootable USB stick.

Using either of these two methods ended up with the same result so I’m guessing there is nothing wrong with the installer.

Has anyone else come across this problem and is it nothing to worry about?

I have an it's come up on pretty much all the 5 system's I've reinstalled the OS on. I just ignored it and I tend to use Chrome so I have to set that default anyways.

So nothing to worry about then?

It doesn’t give you much confidence in the system when you get a notification of a problem as soon as the desktop shows up for the first time 😕
