My cousin just gave me his laptop (Packard Bell EasyNote TE) because he doesn't know how to fix it and though I could (sigh...). Anyway, I get this message when booting:
"Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart, we're just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart for you." This is the only error I get, nothing more. The screen disappears in less than 2 seconds.
I've tried to format and reinstall Windows 8 but after choosing "Boot from CD/DVD drive" I get a black screen, nothing happens.
