YouTube won't play any videos

I use YouTube a lot and since yesterday I have not been able to play videos on any of my devices. On my iPad and iPod touch's YouTube app, I get an error message saying "Video playback error tap to retry." No matter how many times I tap it, I get the same message. On my Windows PC I get a error which says "An error occurred." Any ideas?

If you use YouTube through 3G, in settings on the iPad go to mobile data and scroll down to "use mobile data for" and make sure YouTube is on. Mine wasn't and it now works.

I am having the same problem. It's not the router so I think it maybe time to update the flash player. Going to look up Adobe online and download the free update.

i have the same problem with you too. My ipad can watch youtube and video, but my iphone can't

Just tried what I read earlier, I went to settings and clicked on wifi and reset my wifi by " forget this network" I also cleared all the history on Safari. Then I reconnected to the network , I don't know if it was a one or the other or combination of both.? It worked! Good luck.

YouTube is a robust platform. It's usually pretty easy to fix a connection issue to the site. You'll first want to clear your browser cache and cookies on your desktop or mobile device. Most of the times this will fix your connection issue.

Another solution would be to go to your control panel and open up internet options.

Click on the advanced tab of the internet options window then click on "Restore advanced settings" and "Reset".
