Z170A PC Mate and Samsung 960 EVO NVMe 250GB

Hello. I am looking to buy Samsung 960 EVO NVMe 250GB SSD and I'm wondering if it's even compatible with my Z170A PC MATE mb. Can anyone help with this please?
Also if it is compatible what's the procedure to get it work as regular and or bootable storage?

If you are using Windows 10, you should not need to do anything special to make it your boot drive.

Well after checking for full specifications on the motherboard I did see that it does have the m.2 nvme slot on it but I've also seen that many people had problems using the drive after installing Windows on it. As in they have to turn off other drives in order for the ssd to actually boot up or other similar solutions.
Regarding the procedure to make it a bootable, is it Plug and Play or?

As with all versions of Windows, if you have more than one drive connected to your motherboard, you need to set your boot-drive as the 1st boot drive in your BIOS. Listed under "Boot > Boot Device Priority".

The issues you may see installing a M.2 disk, is that it will disable some other SATA ports on your motherboard. The Z170 disables SATA 3 & 4 if you use the M.2 PCIe interface, and it will disable SATA 1 & 2 if you install it in the M.2 slot.

But as rocktalkrock says - check the boot device priority as well.

Hi, so if you're using M.2 PCIe interface, it will disables SATA3_4. On the specs I can only see SATA3_4, SATA5 and SATA6 (no SATA1_2). Are the numbers correct ? Should we use SATA 5 and SATA 6 for others hard drive instead ?
