[Z270] Asus Maximus IX Formula issues

Dear members,

In a final attempt before throwing the system through the window, I will turn to you.

I have recently purchased brand new components:

Asus Maximus IX Formula Z270
Intel 7700k
16 GB Corsair 3200 MHZ DDR4
Samsung 960 Pro 512 GB
Asus GTX 1080 Strix OC
Microsoft Wired Keyboard 600 (changed twice already)
Razer Deathadder Chroma
Dell Ultrasharp U2715H via HDMI
1000 Watt Corsair power
Windows 10 Pro

Issues
After roughly 4 hours my system starts lagging (espcially my mouse and my sound).
The mouse freezes for 0,5 seconds before it continues to move sporadically accross the screen and the sound becomes laggy.
The result is that the system no longers works ok and I need to reboot it.
After the reboot, the system works fine again.
But than after roughly 4 hours, it all comes back again.

Efforts made so far
Latest bios 0701 from Asus
Installed all the latest drivers
Disabled all the power options
Installed a new pair of DDR4 3000 mhz ram; no changes
Have run memtest, no errors found.
Clean Windows 10 install, same issues

I don't know for sure but it sounds like a ssd problem, you shouldn't be lagging up that much after 4 hours.
Click on the magnifying glass near the start button, then type event viewer.exe, when it comes up click it.
Click on the windows log folder, then click on system which will be on the right hand side of the menu.
It will look like something like this, look for any red x errors pointing out to anything, click on the error and look at the details tab.
